Year 1/2H
1/2H have taken part in a Victorian school life workshop to start their unit of work.
The children compared Victorian school life to modern school. The children sat in rows, looked at photographs of Victorian classrooms learnt about Victorian school punishments, compared lesson styles and even used slate boards to write on.

Year 2
2F have taken part in a Seaside workshop to start their unit of work.
Children learnt about various seaside activities such as steam train rides and fairground rides.
Children were able to explore artefacts such as souvenirs, buckets and spades, a Box Brownie camera, and a parasol.

1L have taken part in a workshop all about nurses from the past.
Children compared the lives and experiences of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. They learnt about the conditions of the hospitals and the jobs that Florence and Mary would have to do.
